class

I am glad our class is over and the best of all, I have a feeling that I will pass this course. Over all I feel it was a productive class for myself and other students, according to their comments. Have a great summer!

Everything looked clean,new, and beatiful. I saw few or no dilapidated houses. With poverty-stricken inmates, no half-naked children and bare-footed women. Such as I had been accustimed to see inHillsborough, Easton, St. Michaels, and Baltimore. The people liked more able, stronger, healthier, and happier; than those of Maryland. I was for once made glad by a view of exteme wealth, without being saddened by seeing extreme poverty. But, the most astonishing, as well, as the most interesting thing to me was the condition to the colored people. A great many of whom like myself; had escaped, Thither as a refuge, from the hunters of men I found many who had not been seven years out of their chains living in finer houses and evidently enjoing more of the comforts of life;than those of the average slave holders in Maryland. I can say with a grateful heart, "I was stranger and He took me in," lived in neater house, dined at a better table, read more and better understood the moral, religious, and political character of the nation; than nine-tenths of the slaveholders in Talbot County, Maryland.

research paper

I have a good feeling about my paper and I hope my grade proof me right. However, I have learn quite a bit on my research ( against gun control ) and how interesting it is to dig into a subject and the more you do the more there is. which everybody well on their research.

the explanation on the sub-sub point does make sense on how to emphasize credibility on the research paper and to convince on our point of view.

it has help me get organize and have a better flow on my paper; although, i had a hard time putting it together.

research project

I had my doubts in competing an 8 page report, but know that I have done the research it has help me understand the need of compiling as much as possible to fulfill the eight pages on the research.

I have had a little hard time finding things to post in our blog every week. If anyone has any ideas please post.

we are able to re-write one of our essays for a better grade and the latest time to turn in is two weeks prior to the end of the semester, but to avoid confusion ask the teacher.

for the few that miss class

For our research we can do it on the same subject that we are doing our debate on; although, it is an open subject research. The advantage is we already have part of it. Good luck!

movie

I am looking forward for the explanation between the movie and heart of darkness. It will definitely give me something to write on for my next essay.

class review

after the teacher explain heart of darkness it makes a lot more sense and interesting. I am still sticking to writing on the imperialism.
